Abstract The microchemistry of many living matters is often related to reactive oxygen species(RO·).This paper described the sources,species and measurement of RO·.RO· are very strong reactivity groups including 1O2(single oxygen),O2-.(superoxide radical)/HO2·(hydroperoxide radical),·OH(hydroxyl radical),H2O2,RO·(alkylperoxide radical),ROOH(hydroperoxides),etc.ROS could be produced in radiolysis,thermolysis,and redox process.At the present time,their measurements include probe methods,collection of illustrative plates methods,and enzyme methods.
