A preliminary investigation on the degradation of lignin by white rot fungi |

Abstract Degradation of lignin with 7 fungal strains was determined. The results showed that Aspergillus oryzae 2013, A. oryzae 2014, A. oryzae 2015 and Aspergillus niger are capable of degrading more than 90% lignin in a short period of time. At the same time, bacteria isolated from the field environment were unable to degrade lignin.
